Mammology School

Mammology School was established by EMC Medical School in collaboration with European Medical Center (GEMC).

The mammology master-course first and foremost aims at improving professional skills of mammologists, gynecologists, oncologists, and at increasing level of diagnostic and treatment of malignant breast cancer in Russia.

Master-courses will include educational and scientific workshops, publication of scientific articles, clinical practice guidelines and monographs, tailoring of distance learning programs, distribution of medical information via internet educational resources.

Main objectives of Mammology School:

• exposing mammologists, gynecologists, radiologists, and specialists of other medical fields to contemporary and practical information on diagnostic procedures and treatment of breast cancer;
• tailoring of educational programs for mamollogists, radiologists, oncologists gynecologists;
• conducting of annual conferences, seminars and lectures on mammology issues;
• internships for mammologists including teaching of practical diagnostics skills of breast disease: biopsy (USE guided), biopsy (MRI guided), stereotaxic biopsy;
• development of critical thinking in scientific and practical mammology;
• creation of necessary conditions for professional development of doctors specialized in diagnostics and treatment of breast cancer;
• development of doctors’ professional knowledge and support of specialists  in mammology and radiology fields.

Target audience of the Mammology School is mammologists, oncologists, gynecologists, radiologists, specialists in ultrasound and radionuclide diagnostics, resident physicians and research scientists of corresponding fields.

Educational course highlights following branches of mammology: aetiology and pathogenic mechanism of breast cancer, innovative diagnostic technologies of breast cancer.
