Nursing care in breast cancer

Breast cancer is nowadays the most common cancer among women in the world. Over 55,000 women in Russia get breast cancer annually. It is the leading cause of cancer deaths in women at the age from 35 to 55 years.

We would like to focus on the importance of the interdisciplinary approach to the disease and the need to involve the paramedical personnel and the patients themselves into the treatment process. In this regard a seminar has been initiated on the theme “Breast cancer”, which is to take place on April 7-8, 2014. 

Coordinating nurses from Israel, specialized in breast cancer treatment, will tell about breast cancer prevention, possible treatment, complications control, and psychological support for the patients and their families during the clinical course and rehabilitation.

Along with lectures and master-classes, the seminar will cover the strategies of enhancing the quality of nursing care, both at early and advanced stages of the disease, and the administrative and legal aspects of the patients’ social security.

We expect that the seminar will result in the boost of nursing initiative groups against breast cancer.

This event is supposed to be the first in a row of the educational seminars for the paramedic personnel dedicated to various medical fields.
