Head of Embriology branch of the Gynecology School

PhD, embryologist, Head of the Embryology Department of the Reproductive and Antenatal Medicine Clinic at the EMC.

He is experienced in all the main techniques used in reproductive embryology: ICSI, IMSI, PICSI, oocyte and embryo vitrification, assisted hatching, biopsy of blastomeres, polar bodies and trophectoderm, FISH, quality control, and managing the embryology and andrology laboratories. He regularly participates in professional seminars and conferences. He is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). Dr. Yutkin is the author of 17 research papers on embryology.

He graduated from K.I. Skryabin Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Science and Biotechnology, Faculty of Biology. Then he was engaged in mammalian embryology research for about seven years. Main areas of research included the microinjection of recombinant constructs into a mammalian zygote pronucleus and transplantation of nuclei. He has extensive practical experience in the cultivation of different cell lines.

He completed an internship at the Ludwig-Maximillian University in Munich, where he mastered the foreign method of somatic cell nuclei transfer into enucleated oocytes, for the purpose of animal cloning.

In 2009, he undertook a practical course at Ulm University (Germany) on ovarian tissue cryopreservation by vitrification.

In 2012, he completed ‘Clinical laboratory diagnostics’, a professional development program of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency.

He has worked in the field of IVF for 11 years.

Clinical interests: vitrification of oocytes, trophectoderm biopsy.

Achievements:

  • Laureate of the national prize ‘The Crystal Test Tube’ in 2010.
  • V.A. Lukin ‘Embryologist of the Year’ Award.
  • Winner of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences scholarship for young scientists in 2000
